WHAT DO WE DO?

Shivganga noted that there's a large underutilized population of the age group of 18-35 years. The primary motive is to empower these youths.

WE CREATE SOCIAL LEADERS

The primary step is to embed values in youths such that they are naturally inclined towards ‘Parmarth’.  They begin thinking for others and their village and which eventually builds their social acceptance in the village, thus making them Social Leaders.

WE TRAIN & EMPOWER THEM

These youths are provided with training and exposure. The training provides skills which would help them in making changes in the village as well as help in earning a livelihood. They also carry forward these skills to their village-mates.

THEY MAKE THE CHANGE ON GROUND

The youths empowered with training and exposure take the lead of various initiatives in their village. They inspire other youths in the village and eventually every village has a young team who break the inertia and bring together people to make things happen.

TESTIMONIALS

The Shivganga… makes use of the tribals’ own cultural resources to motivate them to develop. It is one of the more successful among tribal development schemes.

…..Unlike others, Shivganga is neither pushing Aadivasi backwards as they are illiterate nor showing them upfront because they’re illiterate. They are simply making them realise their energy…so that they themselves can move forward.
